What is a Dosing Funnel?

A dosing funnel sits on top of your portafilter while grinding coffee, helping keep the grounds inside instead of on your bench. It can also use one when transferring coffee to your portafilter via a dosing cup.

It reduces mess, makes WDT easier to perform and can minimise waste when using single-dose grinders.

Not everyone needs one, but if you're constantly brushing coffee off your bench after grinding, a dosing funnel is a simple workflow upgrade.

Look for a dosing funnel that fits securely (preferably using magnets) and doesn't move while you're using WDT or tapping the portafilter.
