This tamper did not earn a place on our coffee bench.
While it looked well made and had a premium feel, it failed the most important test—a proper fit in both the 54mm and 58mm baskets we tested.
What We Liked
- Premium all-black finish.
- Comfortable weight and ergonomics.
- Clean, modern appearance.
Why We Rejected It
A precision tamper should fit the basket closely to produce an even coffee puck. During testing, both the 54mm and 58mm versions were undersized, leaving too much clearance around the basket walls.
This prevented an even tamp and made it impossible to recommend, regardless of the otherwise solid build quality.
Would We Recommend It?
No.
Fit is the single most important characteristic of any tamper. Unfortunately, this one didn't meet our expectations.

Sometimes a product only needs one test.
Although this tamper looked and felt premium, it failed the first and most important requirement, a precise fit. Until that is resolved, the other aspects of the design simply don't matter.
