Verdict
š“ Rejected
This WDT did not earn a place on our coffee bench.
Although the build quality was reasonable, it failed to perform the primary job of a WDT, breaking up clumps and evenly distributing coffee grounds.
What We Liked
- Strong magnetic stand.
- Solid overall build quality.
- Comfortable to hold during use.
Why We Rejected It
The needle geometry caused the needles to converge towards each other during use, pushing coffee grounds into larger clumps rather than breaking them apart.
A WDT should improve distribution. In our testing, this one had the opposite effect.
Would We Recommend It?
No.
Despite its solid construction, we wouldn't recommend this tool because it doesn't perform its intended function correctly.
Lab Notes
A good WDT is defined by its performance, not its appearance. While this tool looked and felt well made, its needle arrangement prevented it from effectively distributing coffee grounds. After comparing it against multiple alternatives, it was clear this design did not meet our standards.
